Jerry W. Macklin, a native of San Mateo, California, is the eldest son of a Pentecostal minister. He, and his wife, Vanessa founded Glad Tidings Church of God in Christ, in Hayward, California, in 1978. With more than (40) active ministries, bringing life and hope to a diverse community, this servant church is a dynamic voice throughout Northern California. Responding to humanitarian crises in America and around the world, Glad Tidings International continues to mobilize and equip hundreds of caring people, who are making a difference.
Married to Vanessa Wells Macklin of Portland, Oregon (his wife of 40+ years). This couple has been blessed with two sons, three daughters and ten very unique grandchildren.
