“Leaders don’t just go to the next level. They grow to the next level.” Real leadership is all about growth. To be clear, growth is not always numerical. How it’s measured is determined by the area in which the growth happens. It could be the broadening of vision, multiplication of finances, deepening of character, or expansion of staff or team—the opportunities for growth are endless. The challenge is that most leaders measure growth in one way: numbers.

Here’s what you have to understand: YOU need to grow before your business, church, or nonprofit can grow! It all starts with you. Let me ask you a question, “How are you growing—not in what you do but in who you are?” Only great leaders will master this lesson. 

Learn. Grow. Develop. Repeat. Learn. Grow. Develop. Repeat.

That is the healthy rhythm of a leader. We cannot hit the pause button on personal growth. It is a dynamic that needs to be nurtured and developed for the rest of our lives. Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep developing. Then repeat that pattern again. 

Invest in yourself. Spend time and money on you. Grow your leadership. Here’s the reality: no one should care more about your leadership than you. Invest in yourself.
